First, I would like it to be noted that I have never EVER written a review about anyone/anything in my life. However, in this case, I felt that this was important enough to make it my first review. The reason I felt that it was so important to write this review is because Haley Grobelny and her partner at the time, Shannon Owen, deserve to be recognized for what they do. I find that good sales experiences are hard to come by these days. Haley and Shannon treated us more like clients, they treated us like friends or family....and that is an experience worth talking about...
While my wife and I were aimlessly browsing Zillow for weeks on end, we eventually stumbled across a house in the Bastrop area one morning using the Zillow App. The house and property seemed perfect for us, almost too good to be true. Therefore my wife and I decided that we just HAD to see the house that day. The only problem was that we did not have a realtor yet at this point. However, a really good friend of ours was in the process of buying a house and he had recommended his realtor, Haley Grobelny.
So we contacted Haley, who works for ZIP REALTY, to see if she would show us the house later that evening, and she responded quickly saying that she would be happy to help us. Not only did she show us the home with only a couple hours notice, but prior to seeing the house she also provided us further information about the house that I did not have access to. When she showed us the home, she was extremely helpful and it was very obvious that she had a lot of knowledge and experience as a realtor. After leaving the showing, we were sure of two things: one, that we wanted that house and two, that we wanted Haley as our realtor.
We put in an offer for the house and in month later, it was ours. During that month though, Haley made the process extremely smooth and easy. When we were discussing the offer, she was straight forward and provided plenty of comparable information help us come up with a good number. After the offer was accepted and the option period had ended, Haley made sure to contact us once or twice a week to see if we needed anything and to check up on us. Haley was always eager to help us with anything we needed.
During the third party inspection, I met Shannon Owen (also from Zip Realty) who was partnered up with Haley at the time. Shannon met at the home with the inspector and stayed through the whole process. I showed up for the last hour of the inspection and Shannon had already documented detailed notes regarding the few issues the home had. Shannon continued to help us with other administrative things through the whole process up until closing.
When my wife and I went to closing, we were surprised to see that both Haley and Shannon had showed up to be there at the closing. Based on the simplicity of this process, NEITHER one of them absolutely needed to be there however BOTH of them were. They also checked in with us weeks after closing to make sure everything was going alright and to see if we needed anything.
My wife and I had been searching for a house on and off for two years (apparently it took us a while to get it together....). During that time, we had dealt with six different realtors including Haley and Shannon. And I promise you when I tell you that dealing with Haley and Shannon compared to dealing with the others was like night and day. Haley and Shannon truly cared about us and our decisions and they really showed that our best interest was the most important thing to them. If anyone had ever walked up to me and asked me if I knew or recommend a realtor, the two and only two people I would not only recommend but insist on using, is Haley Grobelny and Shannon Owen. That is of course if the person asking is worthy of something that special... :)
