We are two of the many moving to Austin. My wife and I sold our townhouse in Portland, OR and decided to begin a new chapter in our lives. Neither one of us had jobs in Texas. We decided to rent until we could get settled. We were stunned by the rent rates.
Our friend, Ivy Stanton, is a Realtor at Zip Realty. She offered a radical idea: why not buy?
Oh sure...unemployed transplants getting a home loan in this environment? We were dubious.
We found a Highland Home in Round Rock ready for move in. There was only one problem: we were ready to move in but I did not have the necessary income. Their solution? They would hold the home for us. Are you kidding?
Ivy worked tirelessly with Highland all the way through the process. I finally obtained a job and today we signed papers and are now the happiest home owners in Round Rock, Texas!!!
We cannot express how appreciative we are for Ivy and all her hard work. She believed when we doubted. She encouraged us when we felt low. All through the process she stepped up and now we are stepping into our new home!
