Our main objective was to sell a house our family owned for 37 years, We told Jon no negotiations, price is fixed and firm.
We had multiple offers and Jon helped weed through and find the most financially secure buyer. Jon made the whole selling experience worry free easy and efficient. The buyer tried very hard to purchase the house at a reduced price. Jon's knowledge and professionalism made him the perfect ambassador, working between parties he maintained our wishes.
The result, the house was sold for the asking price, he handled the negotiations with minimal involvement from us. Seriously, what more could you ask for.

Home buyer in West Roxbury
Jon exhibited extremely unprofessional behavior on my several interactions with him. I was purchasing the house, Jon represented the seller. He was obstinate in scheduling times for the various inspections that needed to happen. He suggested I enter the house without his presence which my lawyers advised against saying it was unethical on his part, and putting me at risk. I sensed Jon did not want to drive to the house. He was unwilling to find another broker to cover him until the last possible moment, creating a lot of confusion. He also screamed at me on the phone when he wasn't able to make the pre-scheduled time for the final walk-thru. I found Jon to be obnoxious, smug and lazy and would not recommend his services. Coldwell should re-evaluate the types of brokers they allow to use their brand. Jon has done a disservice to the company's reputation.

If you read the many previous reviews, you will see that something does not add up with this one. Kathleen was not my client. She was the buyer of my listing. Her demeanor changed 180 degrees when the seller didn't want to give her a credit after the home inspection. Kathleen had been advised upon making her offer that the home was being sold as is. The seller had made that clear to me up front which I passed along to Kathleen. Then Kathleen wanted Coldwell Banker to pay her for the updates and repairs she wanted to make to the 100 year old home she was purchasing. I drove to meet with her contractors on several occasions. Sometimes on her behalf without her even being there. When the time came for a final walk through, she was given several different days and times that I could meet with her. She refused and demanded I meet her at the exact day and time she wanted. She was never given access to the home without a broker or the owner present.
