San Francisco real estate market is hot, hot, hot

Homes for sale in Bay Area was on fire last month, well, not literally, but houses were being sold so quickly you would think they were about to disappear up in smoke. It's really no wonder considering how beautiful the homes are in San Francisco, delicately perched alongside green parks and crystal blue water.

Cece Blase, a Real Estate agent in the Bay Area, explains to Examiner how homes in San Francisco sold high and fast in March. She reports that 438 homes closed escrow during this month and many of these did so within two week of being put on the market, and at sticker price or above.

According to the source, the average March listing price for a single family home in San Francisco was $939,093. However, the average selling price for a single family home was $950,079. Houses were not the only hot property in the area last month, condos also sold slightly above the average list price.

Some of the best things about the real estate in the Bay Area is the diversity of house styles and prices, which is perhaps why the market doing so well. Blase says that last month the most inexpensive single family home sold for $179,000 in Vistacion Valley, whereas the most expensive was for $2.8M in the Marina District.
