San Francisco is a great city for golf enthusiasts

Golf is one of the most challenging individual sports on the planet, but it is also the perfect way to relax on a temperate spring afternoon. Homes for sale in the Bay Area are located near some of the top golf courses in the United States, and even the PGA tour stops here on occasion. If you are looking to relocate to San Francisco, you should check out some of the following greens.

The Olympic Club

This establishment is America's oldest athletic club, as it was founded 152 years ago in 1860. The club headquarters is located at 599 Skyline Boulevard in the southwest corner of San Francisco, and has three golf courses spread out in view of the Pacific Ocean.

The facilities here are world class - the U.S. Open recently finished at The Olympic Club, with Webb Simpson taking home the title. Membership here is by invitation only, however, so apply online to learn more about becoming a part of this iconic club.

Lincoln Park Golf Club

The Lincoln Park Golf Club is open to the general public year-round, and is the perfect place to check out if you don't want to pay expensive membership fees. Head down to 300 34th Avenue to check out the 18-hole course.
