We would have expected a more professional attitude and service, since realty is also a profession. This is our first home, but it may have been the realtor's 100-1000th deal, We'd have hoped that she take it beyond a transaction to safe guard her share of the commision and merely serving as a messenger for conveying the documents. In our case, that is pretty much what happened, we had seen the home even before delegating her our representation and all she had to do along the way was to ensure a smooth transition of the ownership. I was to close 2 weeks ago (Dec 31st), but it failed due to the banking system. All we did for the next 2 weeks was sign extensions, which was something to secure the deal. We closed the home 2 weeks after (Jan 15th) and our so called walk-through which was on (Dec 30th) meant nothing because 2 days after closing, We owned a home that was flooded and requiresd the entire heating and water piping system to change because they were burst due to the negligence of not having the heating system running, whilst we were waiting for closure. We would have expected our realtor to ensure that, (obviously in our interest) the home actually existed before we went for our closing. We feel as though, the realtor was only there to represent herself until she got the commission signed on the P & S, cause after that we were unfortunately never represented in a way to ensure that the house was passed on to us in one piece. She was not even there to help us sign the closing. Maybe, ziprealty can enforce that someone in future doesnot have to relive the misfortune that we have had to live owning the home for a mere 24-36 hours. All new home owners need in terms of real estate representation is a clear guidance and some represtation of themselves with utmost care. I wish our realtor good luck in future and hope she learns at our expense.

We worked with several agents before Robin and none of them compared to her. She was always prepared and never beat around the bush. She was very easy to communicate with and could keep me updated by phone, email, fax or text. This was very important to me because of my work schedule and my access to different technologies. Robin was very aggressive in cutting through the red tape necessary to get us into our first home. Logistics such as arriving at a mutually satisfying selling price with the buyers and financial hindrances with overly conservative credit unions (due to the declining market value of homes) were delaying the transaction, but Robin was very 'on the ball' and recommended several financial alternatives to us. We are greatly appreciative for all she has done to make this transaction go smoothly.
