We selected several properties, and Varian Dean showed us. He was pleasant but a few issues as follows:
1. He showed at closing earlier, but did not bring the keys. After I made payment and asked to give they key, he said he would provid lock box number. The next day we met for keys, and he did not say mailbox key was missing. When I asked mailbox key, he said management should provide, which management did not.
2. seller did not provide bylaws until the day of closing at 1AM. I asked Dean to contact of management and asked to contact listing agent to provide bylaws. Dean did not follow up at all. I personally had to contact other agent who provided me bylaws and contact information.
3. He said his firm does not accept earnest money, and told $2,000 earnest money deposited to seller's attorney. Due to the fact seller's lawyer kept earnest money, it was difficult to negotiate in the process.
