Words cannot truly express how grateful we are to have Bernie. He helped us for several months to find the right home, ultimately the perfect place for us. He is very experienced and knows Marin like the back of his hand. He is extremely knowledgable about the real-estate business and we learned a lot from him. During the time we were looking with Bernie the market became increasingly competitive, especially in our price point. We wrote a total of six offers with Bernie and as houses we wanted were getting scooped up by extreme cash offers (ours was on the humbler side with only 10% down, etc.) our hope was waning. But Bernie was there and ALWAYS available to show us absolutely everything that came on the market to lift our spirits and keep us focused. Eventually we ended up in exactly the home we were meant to be in. Bernie was 120% professional in every dealing and piece of communication. He was clear and upfront with us about the housing market and helped keep us "in the know" so we could better think through each step. This was particularly helpful to us as first time buyers. When we got into contract on the home we eventually bought, Bernie was always ready to move quickly at each step, helping us feel secure. We had a longer than usual escrow period, as many buyers and owners were taking advantage of low interest rates. (Bernie had recommended a stellar mortgage broker who was working practically round the clock to try and keep things speedy.) Bernie kept close and open communication with the seller's agent to keep her interested in us as buyers and we felt confident that he was communicating in an honest and ethical way. When everything was completed in the end, Bernie welcomed us to home-ownership with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and sweet card. We should have been the ones to give those to HIM (we will have him to dinner in our new house once we are settled). We love Bernie and would recommend him in a heart beat to anyone!
