My husband and I were first-time home buyers, and anxious about the home buying process. We began looking at home listings online just to see what was out there, looking for homes that were within our budget. Alex popped up as a Zip realtor in our area, and we wanted to talk to someone, so we figured she would be a good place to start. We later discovered that we were absolutely right about that. Alex was a great person with whom to start our home search with, and what ensued was a year-long partnership with a dedicated and honest realtor. Initially, I reached out to Alex via email with questions I had. She was extremely responsive and addressed my questions right away. Alex even offered additional information on top of what I was asking for. That seemed to be the pattern thereafter. Alex always kept us updated on additional and new information as it became available. We always got the sense that we knew all we needed to know about a property before we even decided if we wanted to see it in person. Alex made sure she fully understood the parameters of our search and would always consider our must-have criteria before making recommendations on a home or before we got emotionally invested in one. That is, she made sure that we did not waste our time or get our hopes up about a home that just wasn't going to be the right fit for us. Alex took us to see many homes, working around our busy schedule. She kept in regular communication with us about new prospects and changes in the market. During a period in which my work became particularly stressful and demanding, and I became increasingly busy and unavailable, Alex patiently waited until we were in a better place before pushing forward. She would check in with us periodically to make sure things were okay and to let us know that she was ready when we were to continue our home search. Once we were ready to get back into the "game," Alex was just as enthusiastic and excited to delve back into the search as we were. On our search, we found "THE HOME"...the one we could just see ourselves living in for the rest of our lives. The one we could envision raising our future children in. We were so excited and hopeful that the home could be ours. Alex was equally excited for us, but was also very careful to explain to us next steps and the potential conflicts of purchasing a short-sale home. She let us know that it was okay to be excited, but cautiously optimistic at the same time. Long story short, the house ended up going to another buyer who offered more than we did. Needless to say, we were crushed. But Alex told us not to lose hope. There were plenty of other houses on the market, but also, there was always the possibility that short sale buyers walk away during the often times long wait period. So we continued to see houses with Alex and continued to put in offers here and there. She would check in regularly with the realtor of our "dream" house to make sure the sale was still going through, and would give us updates periodically. Magically, 6 months later, our "dream" house became available! Alex let us know right away and advised us to act quickly so as not to let this house get away from us again. Alex put in an offer on our behalf and let us know what was happening on a daily basis. Even when other obstacles arose, she was careful to explain to us what our options were and what next steps were required. Things were most stressful for us towards the end of the negotiation process, and yet Alex was always very calm, collected, and thorough. Her professionalism got us through the stress. Ultimately, we got our dream home, and we couldn't have done it without Alex. Through the long process, my husband and I always felt assured that we were in good hands and knew that Alex always "had our backs." She is a consummate professional and a grade "A" person. We're very happy to have met her and consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to have been able to work with her.
