Not sure how this was a total nightmare!!! But here goes. After becoming dissatisfied with another ZipRealty agent, I was contacted by this client. I was told how bad the agent was and how the client did not receive what he had requested from her. I was told the client needed an agent who would help him and pay attention to him. I asked him how he found me and he told me I was the only one who called him back. I asked him how many agents he was working with or if he had a professional agent that he was working with. I was told no in answer to both questions. I asked how I could help. The response I received was, "I want to see homes I have selected and I want to make a purchase now. After viewing the homes and no decision made, I asked if he were open to new home construction. The response was overwhelming yes. I located the builder in the area of the buyer's choice. Typically when an agent introduces their buyer to the new construction sales office, they walk in with their client, register them and move forward with a tour of the model homes. If the buyer likes a home and chooses to move forward with a purchase of a phase production, documents are prepared and and escrow opened. Later that day I received a phone call from the buyer. I was told that the sales person mentioned to him how much my commission would be on the transaction, of which the builder pays. He proceeded to ask me to split my income with him 50/50 or I would not have him for client and he would get another agent to represent him for the remainder of the transaction. I told the client I would not share half of my income with him nor would my broker allow me to do that. I did counter-offer to share a percentage toward closing costs or upgrades. That was not good enough. I then heard the phone click in my ear. I called my broker to share this entire experience with him. My broker confirmed that 50% of my income was not going to happen. I tried to reach the client to no avail. My broker and I agreed there would be no further outreach to this client from our end. I never heard from the client, escrow or the builder again until the escrow was ready to close and the builder's office reached out to me. I was informed that I was the initiating Realtor and it appeared that another Realtor had been introduced to the transaction. Needless to say I nor my company was going to let this happen. I thank God for the integrity of the builder's office. I resolved this matter equitably to eliminate the two real estate offices battling over the commission being paid by the builder. My company was willing to go as far a necessary to protect our income investment. My broker asked me what I wanted to do. I decided I would share the commission with the second agent as he was not aware of the history. He has bills and a family and I am sure he was looking forward to earning income. ZipRealty and I shared our commission with the second broker and Realtor. We did not not share any income with this client. I believe we did the right thing, made the right choice and the only one who is unhappy is the client.

I have known Beverly powell for 11 yrs she worked with my husband and i to buy our first home in beaumont ca. it wasn't easy we ran into lots of walls but she hung in there with us she was very kind and very patient she spent a lot of time working with us and went out of her way to help us find the best home for us and connect us with the right people, she was such a blessing we were so grateful to have her working with us. Than in 2010 we decide to sell our home we want to work with beverly again to sell our home but because she was not close by we decide to work with some of the realtors in beaumont but after three realtors we decide to call beverly powell we explain what happen in trying to sell our home and ask her if she would consider help us sell our home she graceful excepted and started working immediatly she put our home on the market it wasn't easy we got buyers and we lost buyers but beverly never gave up she was so positive about us selling our home she worked day and some late nights working to get our home sold but the market kept dropping beverly never gave up even when is looked like is just wasn't going to happen she kept pressing her way.Then in may of 2012 we got a buyer and sold our home if it had not been for beverly powell being so diligence and so patient we would not have sold our home iam so forever grateful to have had the pleasure of working with beverly powell she is an awesome and wonderful person thank you so much for having such an awesome realtor in your company i would recommend beverly to anyone wanting to buy or sell a home and i would call on her in a heart beat for any of my real estate needs. beverly continue to walk with God as God continues to walk with you.
