Bob is simply is the best Real Estate agent you can ever find. He is knowledgeable about his trade, vary patient with clients, meticulous in his work, and most importantly always consider his clients’ best interests as the first priority.
Bob takes time educating his clients about how to shop for a house. He is a professional because he considers it his main job to educate his clients about deficiencies of a house while a seller’s agent promotes virtues of the property. It was with Bob that I learned a lot about the essential aspects of a house: the surrounding, the roof, the foundation, the Chimney, the pipes and wires, etc. So much I have learned from having worked with him that I am confident I could even go out there on my own to find a nice house to buy on my own. But since I would not want to take any chances, I would still ask Bob to assist me!
Bob is extraordinary patient with his clients. We started house hunting in the summer of 2011 and spent the subsequent few months visiting a few dozens of properties. Due to our indecision, we came out empty handed for that year. The following spring, we went out again and immediately found a property we liked. After lengthy negotiation and property inspections, we were ready to sign the Purchase & Sell agreement. Yet due to an unexpected financial obstacle, we had to cancel the deal at the last moment. Despite obvious disappointment, Bob showed the slightest annoyance with our decision. 2013 went by without anything happening. 2014 came with a huge career change for me (i.e., taking a job abroad) and the renewed pressure to find a larger living quarter for my family.
We found a house in Hopkinton and started the amazing process of accomplishing the house purchasing process during which I was abroad. We got an excellent price for the property, due to Bob’s careful homework to prepare for the first offer, and skillful counter offers during the price discovery process. He is truly an expert in negotiation, exhibiting the essential qualities of being prepared, calm, and understanding of human psychology. During the entire process (i.e., about three months), several issues emerged that could derail the deal. First, there was an issue regarding the property boundary and the town’s zone law. Since I was abroad, Bob went to the town hall several times to gather the necessary information for us to make an informed decision. Second, there was a switch of the seller’s agent during the process, and the new agent did more harm than good to the process. It was Bob, working with the seller more and less directly, that rescued the deal. Third, there was an unexpected obstacle related my income gained aboard for the mortgage application. We, working closely with the mortgafe agents and Bob, overcame the huge amount of paper work and cross-nation fund transfers required for the mortgage application. Like anything involving a larger financial stake, it is essential for the agent to be detail oriented and meticulous in document keeping, Bob has always kept all business records straight and available during the three-month period.
In the end, we overcame many obstacles to purchase our home over the span of four years, which cannot be accomplished without Bob’s skills and perseverance. We were most impressed with Bob’s professional integrity in putting his clients’ interests first, which was amply displayed when he educated us about shortcomings of the house we were considering purchasing, when we had to cancel the deal in 2012, and during the lengthy and difficult process that eventually leads to the purchase of our current home. The house buying process can be very trying and if we have to go through it again, we will definitely need the professional assistance from Bob and thus enthusiastically recommend him to anyone wanting to buy or sell a house!
