Deb earned my trust from the first time we met ... she proved to us that she was looking for a house for us, not just to broker a sale.
Deb picks up information from us very quickly and understands exactly what we are looking for, and had used that information throughout the searching and negotiating process.
When it came to the negotiating stage, she was firm and skillful and acted as a very effective liason between us and the builder/seller. She found out flaws which we would have otherwise missed and convinced the builder to have them fixed.
We feel fortunate to have obtained Deb's professional service in this biggest purchase of our lives. She took a lot of guessing, self-doubt and anxiety out of the process.

During house visits she provided us helpful insights and useful info to consider while evaluating the condition of the house and what kind of things we would have to watch out for further down the road. I thought that she could have done more to provide us with information on the properties we visited. When we had questions she almost always answered with I don't know and even seemed annoyed that we were asking her. I understand that if you are showing lots of different properties you are not going to know all the details on them, but she should write down our questions and find out the answers for us because we can't deal directly with the seller, and I thought that was her job. Overall, she seemed pretty disinterested in helping us and basically opened the door to the houses we looked at and then answered phone calls or stayed in another room. We were first time home buyers so I cannot say that we've had extensive experience working with realtors, but we felt that she did very little beyond the bare minimum of meeting us at the properties ( I believe we looked at 6 or 7 places), and often seemed aggravated to be there. In the end we felt like she made a stressful experience that much more stressful, although we are very happy in our new home and glad that everything finally worked out.

The selling of our condo was not easy because we had a time deadline. We had to move to California before all closing could be completed. During the month between the acceptance of the offer and the actual closing, we were in California while Deb worked with the lawyer (whom she had recommended) to get the closing done. We also had issues with the fire inspection but Deb took care of the situation. We are quite happy with the service we received from her.

As a first time home buyer I was a complete novice to the process. My Buyer's Agent, Deb Stein, took me by the hand and walked me through the process soup to nuts-----from mortgage procurement to closing. Deb was professional, knowledgeable, economically savvy, she put herself in my shoes, and kept me on point. When I got swayed by decor, Deb reminded me that the people would be selling me their unit and not their furniture!!!!! She flat out refused to show me first floor units no matter how lovely they appeared to be-----a Garden Style first floor unit = a basement unit, who knew. When I had "meltdowns" Deb told me to take a time out and she was always there for me once I was able to "exhale" and return to status quo. Deb went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and find me a dream first home-----a penthouse, corner condo in a well managed and financially stable community.
