Laurie Donovan is a consummate professional! She always went way beyond the call and was prompt and reliable at every turn in the process. My home purchase via Laurie is an investment was accomplished within a real estate IRA trust. As such it required extra steps and special handling along the way and Laurie was right there with me thru the whole process. I???ll look to find an opportunity to work with Laurie again!

I would like to thank Laurie for her help she was the first contact from your website. Laurie would send me pictures and info of homes for sale in Bethel Island. When I found the home at 3655 Willow rd she was not able to show this to my wife and I. But set up a showing with Joyce Verette. If it wasn't for Laurie we would not have found our dream home on the water or met Joyce. I can't rate Laurie unfortunately because we never met only through emails but I m sure she would have rated also Excellent. Again thank you!

I appreciated that Laurie was patient and did not pressure me into purchasing a place just to make a sale even though it was a long process from beginning to closing. Although in the end I ended up paying higher than I would have hoped, throughout the search she generally urged me not to go above a certain level on my bids. The advice may not have always been spot on since I think I may have gotten into a similar unit as the one I am in now for a lower price if I had bidded higher earlier, though it did make me feel that she was concerned with me paying too much. Laurie was fairly hands off, which worked for me for the majority of time since I had a good sense of what I wanted and where I wanted to look. However, I would have liked for greater interaction in the closing process since I was a first-time homebuyer and it didn't go smoothly (but not due to any fault of Laurie's). Though satisfied overall, I also felt that she could have pushed a bit harder when negotiating the final purchase price and items to be fixed.

Laurie is the most personable, knowledgeable and helpful agent I have ever worked with. I felt like I was talking to an old friend from the very moment we met. Laurie made sure that she understood exactly what I was looking for in a new home before the process began. Then she proceeded to find the perfect home for me. When an offer had already been made on a home that I wanted she conducted research and found a home that was even more to my liking and that had not even been listed in the MLS yet. She set up a viewing with the listing agent and owners before they had even finished staging the home. This enabled me to work out a much better deal with the owners because they were saving so much money on staging and they did not have to go through the hassle of having open houses or people coming through for however long it took to sell the house. Laurie did a great job in that she was professional, responsive, and very pleasant. Certain aspects of the transaction were not smooth, and the seller's agent(s) bore the responsibility for most of the problems. Certain issues that arose (a problem with clearing the title, misunderstandings about the closing date) could have been dealt with more efficiently. Whether we could have done a better job, from a buyer's viewpoint, in dealing with the situation is something that I am still reflecting on.
