"First, some background: My wife and I were first time home buyers who entered the market with more than a little bit of trepidation, and decided to try working with a buyer's agent. We had used the Zip website because of its combination of ease of use and the powerful tools available on it. It was by pure luck that we ended up with Paul Murphy as a Zip Agent. Paul's patience, sincerity, and experience were all incredibly helpful to us as we went through the home buying process. Paul was helpful not only in pointing out aspects of the home that we weren't looking for, but in clarifying the things that we WERE looking at. Paul has a unique ability to place himself in the situation of his clients, and to help show how a house might 'evolve' over the years. It's not always easy to look at a home as a living entity; Paul was able to share this vision with us, which helped us to see what a home COULD be, and not simply what it currently WAS. In terms of the buying process itself, Paul was always available at any hour (and there were some crazy hours!) to give us a fair and honest opinion on something, to provide a level-headed third party view on a situation, or even to talk us off of a ledge. When we didn't get the first home that we bid on and were determined to push on, Paul was the first person to suggest that the best way to approach the situation was to take a step back from the home buying process. That's the last advice to expect to hear from your agent. Paul acted as more than our buyer's agent, he acted as a 'air traffic controller' for all of our contacts. He always had recommendations for the various people that we needed, and were always impressed with the people to whom he referred us, including our home inspector. And even when we went with someone else (such as for our mortgage and our lawyer), he worked very well with them. Paul is a credit to your company, and he is a credit to your entire industry.
