Having been through the house buying process before, we have a pretty good idea on what makes a great realtor. Hardworking, energetic, perceptive, and dedicated to looking after YOU. Amy is all of those things and more. She worked tirelessly with us over a long period until we found the house that was right for us. She always stayed positive, was always there when we needed her advice and input, and had great suggestions on making offers more appealing – and by that I mean ways aside from just increasing the price! We could talk at length about all of Amy’s great qualities, but, the proof is in the pudding. In our case, we now have a wonderful home that is larger then we initially thought we’d be able to get, in a better neighborhood then we had hoped for, and thanks to Amy’s tips, the seller picked our offer despite there being several other offers higher than ours. We certainly know who to turn to the next time we need to buy/sell a house!

As a first time home buyer, I probably took more time than most people take when finding a home. After meeting scores of real estate agents, throughout my search at open houses and showings, I realized something that reinforced my initial perception of Amy: I liked her, I trusted her and I knew I was in good hands. Every question and concern I had was acknowledged and answered in full detail. Complicated and tedious processes were broken down into easy to understand concepts (For example, a short is a long process!) Aside from her consummate professionalism and dedication as an agent, Amy truly stands out from other agents in the Santa Monica and Venice real estate milieu. Yes, she is a hard worker, competent and super friendly. Beyond her professional skills, however, Amy is a considerate, thoughtful and generally speaking a kind individual. Those qualities are rare to find and merit the highest marks in my book!

We had two very difficult housing experiences. One with a house that we had to back out of and one with a short sell. In both cases the selling agent (who was the same for both) was very very difficult and in our opinion unprofessional. Amy did an excellent job trying to keep us informed and get through to the other agent, which was no small task. Amy was incredibly pleasant to deal with and therefore made this stressful experience much better than it would have been. She was a pleasure to work with.

This was her first listing, and she did not seem to know what she was doing. We had to tell her to put up flags for the open house. When we had our first offer (full price) she stopped holding an open house for the following Sunday. Also, when my husband did research on the internet and called the realtor to determine if the mortgage company of the potential buyer was legitimate, Amy was extremely angry with Michael,literally yelling at him on the phone, and she hung up on him. She phoned me at work and was very rude. She told Michael to mind his own business and that he had never bought, owned or sold a house himself, so he knew nothing!! She claimed that the first buyers walked away because Michael soured the deal. We firmly believe that it was because we countered with a request for a larger amount of earnest $$. They were only offering $5,000 with a 95% mortgage. We did not want to take the house off the market with such a weak offer. As it turned out, the offer fell through nonetheless. I am certain it was NOT because we wanted to check out the realtor and the mortgage company, which we had a right to do.
