The town of Antioch is located on the San Joaquin River in Contra Costa County. According to the town's website: "The availability of quality and affordable housing is unsurpassed in the Bay Area. The city of Antioch was incorporated in 1872 and currently encompasses approximately 28 square miles. With a population nearing 90,000, Antioch has become the heart of Eastern Contra Costa County, offering a variety of employment, shopping and vast recreational activities.
