It also contains many houses of prayer representing different religions and denominations. Rogers Park also contains various types of housing. Off of Sheridan Road, large courtyard buildings dominate; residents are attracted by the proximity to Lake Michigan and eight beaches, which offer many recreational activities such as boating, swimming, fishing, and walking along the shoreline.

There are also some large Victorians and bungalows, as well as converted condominiums and multi-unit buildings. Housing is affordable, but on the rise. Older students attend Sullivan High School on North Bosworth Avenue. There are also a number of parochial schools in the area.
