Hopkinton, a scenic community in southeastern Massachusetts is 26 miles from Boston. This distance is run each year when competitors from all over the world gather on Main Street to begin the Boston Marathon. Residents and visitors need not cover the distance only on foot. The Massachusetts Turnpike Route 90 and Interstate 495, two major arteries of the state form an interchange at Hopkinton's border with neighboring Westborough. These roads, as well as Route 135, make the town easily accessible to points across Massachusetts.

Hopkinton has a long 300 year history since its incorporation as a town in 1715. This friendly bedroom community of Boston still has some of the old buildings of its past such as the stately stone public library. Built in 1895, the structure dates to 1895 and is located on Main Street across from Town Hall. The library is active in offering children's programs throughout the year. Hopkinton has its own school district of three elementary schools, a middle school and a high school. Schools are located on the Hayden Rowe Street and Grove Street Education Complex, featuring several well appointed athletic fields amid a wide green campus.

Public and private recreational facilities in town include Hopkinton State, Park, Whitehall State Park, the town beach on Lake Maspenock, the Saddle Hill Country Club and the YMCA. Cultural events include the Hopkinton Polyarts Festival, Fourth of July parade and bonfire, and the summer concert series on the town common.

Home choices in Hopkinton vary from condo/townhouses to single family homes. Some homes are blessed with water views. Hopkinton, with a population of 9000 spread out over 28 square miles of town, parks and lakes is a friendly community eager to welcome its new residents. This generous spirit is expressed by the members of the Board of Selectmen who write new residents personally, describing the town's facilities and programs and encouraging them to join in town affairs as part of "warm and friendly Hopkinton".
