The city of Seagoville is poised for greatness, and it's all about location, location, location. Located about 15 miles Southeast of downtown Dallas, Seagoville has easy access to all major highways and Interstates 45, 635, 35 and 20. It's hard to stay lost in Seagoville. Seagoville is part of the Dallas Independent School District; although, very small sectors of Seagoville report to the Crandall and Mesquite school districts. Seagoville got its start as plain old Seago after the town's founder T.K. Seago. The U.S. postal service changed the name to Seagoville in 1910.
