The Dallas public schools operate the Environmental Education Center here providing children a hands-on opportunity to experience nature. It's a hidden treasure that incorporates the Dallas County Post Oak Preserve as its backyard laboratory! The Post Oak Preserve is home to 334 acres of dense forest. Three nature trails wind their way through pond, forest and grassland habitats. The preserve even offers a museum, large working barn and camping areas.

Seagoville got its start as plain old Seago after the town's founder T.K. Seago. The U.S. postal service changed the name to Seagoville in 1910. It seems mail was getting confused with another Sego, Texas. Today, Seagoville considers itself "The City of Opportunity." Check out the opportunity. Seagoville sits on 175 just southeast of Dallas.
