Commuters appreciate Roanoke's proximity to U.S. 377 and State Highway 114 and outdoor lovers enjoy the quick drive to the great fishing, camping, hiking, and sailing at Grapevine Lake. Covering more than 232 square miles and 13 communities, Northwest ISD currently serves about 10,000 students, but is expected to have as many as 44,000 students by the year 2022.
