Psst - wanna buy some lakefront property? Then, Little Elm, Texas might be just the place for you. Over 67% of Little Elm is shoreline. Almost anywhere you travel in this scenic community, you've got a view of Lake Lewisville. Hope you like water sports! This community on Farm Road 720 in Denton County is dedicated to recreation and is feverishly adding amenities to support the natural beauty. Recently, a new outdoor amphitheater that boasts a spectacular sunset view of the lake opened. A lake trail system is in the works that will eventually connect the whole lakefront through hike and bike trails. Construction of a new baseball complex will soon begin next to the lake as will a new sand beach and volleyball complex.

Little Elm is one the fastest growing communities in North Texas. Just a scant 7 years ago, only 3,700 folks called Little Elm home. The current estimates place the population at just under 20,000! That's a lot of growth, but Little Elm is working hard to control growth patterns, establish aesthetic controls and expand infrastructure. Two main arteries run through the middle of town: El Dorado Parkway, which runs east to Frisco and FM 423 running north and south.

The Little Elm Independent School District is racing to keep pace with the growth, as well. Currently, it offers 4 elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. Some parts of Little Elm are still served by Frisco ISD. The Little Elm school district is constructing a $14 million dollar football and sports complex on El Dorado Parkway.

Leading the growth is home construction. Home prices range from as little as $50,000 to $749,000 and run the gamut from single family homes, multi-family homes, town homes, waterfront homes, luxury homes, even horse property. Land typically goes from $6,500 to $200,000 per lot or acre.

Little Elm calls itself "The town with Lake Attitude." It's no longer a hidden treasure.

In May 2007, the average home sales price for a single family home or condo in Little Elm, TX was $154,926. While this data is collected from the MLS and deemed reliable, it is not guaranteed.
