Students in the area will attend Atlanta Public Schools. The school district is working to become one of the nation's top performing urban school districts. Test scores in the area are continually on the rise and last year, well-deserving graduates were offered more than $73.7 million in scholarships from colleges and universities across the country. Several private schools are convenient to the area and many notable post-secondary schools are nearby including Georgia Tech University, Georgia State University and the Atlanta University Center.
The East Atlanta real estate market is active as Atlanta area residents move toward the trend of in-town living. The area features stately Victorians, charming Craftsmans, adorable postwar homes, and exquisite new construction. Many older homes perfect for renovation projects can be purchased in the low $100s.
