Buenaventura Lakes or "The lakes of good luck," Florida is a growing community of approximately a little over 26,000 residents, located about eight miles northeast of magical Kissimmee.
Close to everything wonderful about sunny Central Florida, Buenaventura Lakes is positioned approximately 20 minutes from Orlando International Airport, and about 90 minutes from Tampa, or Daytona Beach. Within this wonderful location of Buenaventura Lakes are many beautiful lakes and incredible wildlife. Buenaventura Lakes is also home to excellent golf courses so it's no surprise that due to its close proximity to the Orlando experience, there are quite a few vacation rentals in this area.
Created in 1887, Osceola County is a 1,506 square mile area with Buenaventura Lakes making up about 7.2 square miles of this area. Osceola County is the 17th fastest growing county in the United States. Named after the Seminole Indian who led a small group of warriors in the Seminole resistance during the Second Seminole War, Osceola County is historically known as a transportation crossroads.
Interstate 4, US Highways 17/92, 441, 192, and the Florida Turnpike are all within minutes for commuters, but you can save the gas in your car and let the convenient Lynx Bus get you where you want to go with routes throughout Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties.
Buenaventura Lakes, like the rest of Osceola County, has a diverse population that includes native Floridians, a large and growing number of immigrant settlers, northern retirees, and many, many tourists. Buenaventura Lakes offers many types of housing options including townhomes, condos, and single-family homes. Florida-style residences are very popular in this urban area with an average price around $250,000, but of course, this depends on the type of home that you are looking for.
Part of the Osceola County School System, Buenaventura Lakes has two public elementary schools for grades kindergarten through fifth grade and one public middle school for sixth through eighth grades. High school students of Buenaventura Lakes attend school in a nearby town.
