Indian Creek Village is America's most exclusive Address. Indian Creek is one of the smallest incorporated municipalities in the United States with 38 home sites and 32 actual homes. Located on an island in Biscayne Bay, the Village enjoys views of downtown Miami and is comprised of estate residences, a private country club and golf course. As of 2004, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau is 38. For the rich and famous that seek privacy, Indian Creek Village is the place. The Village is a private island that has been dubbed one of the wealthiest and most heavily policed communities in the nation. Their motto is, "Protecting and servicing America's most exclusive municipality."

The Village's history dates back to 1928 when a group of Midwestern millionaires bought a mangrove swamp from the government to build a country club. These days, the country club has 180 elite members.

With nearly 300 acres, the Village is an enclave for the mega rich. It was incorporated in 1939 with 17 residents and has since then nearly doubled to 33 residents. Currently, Indian Creek Village is home to former Dolphin coach Don Shula and Philadelphia Eagles owner Norman Braman. Other big names that have graced the island include singer Julio Iglesias and Robert Wood Johnson of Johnson and Johnson. The island is littered with palm trees and luscious, well-groomed lawns. The golf course takes up 80 percent of the island.

Indian Creek Village police department was created in 1939 when the Village was incorporated. Then in 1994 the Indian Creek Village Public Safety Department was created in order to provide security and medical services to the most exclusive community in America. Currently, the Indian Creek Village Public Safety Department employs 9 sworn law enforcement officers and 4 civilian public service aides. The Public Safety Department provides law enforcement and medical services for residents and visitors of Indian Creek Village.

Indian Creek Village is centrally located. Close to all the Amenities that Miami Beach, Downtown Miami and Coconut Grove have to offer. The private enclave also offers proximity to Vizcaya Museum, Miami City Ballet, New World Symphony, Florida Grand Opera, Miami Art Museum, Gusman Center for the Performing Arts, Coconut Grove Playhouse and the Miami International Airport.
