Jasper is located in Pickens County just over an hour from Atlanta. The area is accessible to GA 515 and Interstate 575. The city was named in honor of Sergeant William Jasper of South Carolina who died during the siege of Savannah in the Revolutionary War. The area is home to over 2000 Georgia residents.
