Aldine, Texas was once an important stop on the International-Great Northern Railroad. Located 10 miles north of downtown Houston off Interstate 45, this thriving community of over 14,000 is mostly located in Houston's extraterritorial jurisdiction with a small portion in Houston's corporate limits.
