In the years immediately following WWII, Oak Forest became the largest residential development in Houston at the time. In terms of stability, pricing and diversity, the Oak Forest neighborhood is as solid as they come. Oak Forest is located between Pinemont, Shepherd, the North Loop West and the Northwest Freeway (US 290).
