Powder Springs is located in Cobb County and is home to nearly 15,000 residents. The city gets its name from the seven springs founding within the city limit. It's been said that the minerals in the water turn the surrounding sand black like gunpowder. The name Gunpowder Springs was later shortened. Powder Springs is convenient to Interstates 20, 75 and 285 and is served by several multi-lane highways that offer an alternative to area interstates.
Powder Springs has something for residents of all ages to enjoy. Families will enjoy learning about the area's history at the Seven Springs Museum in downtown Powder Springs. Kids will enjoy gathering at area parks to utilize ball fields, playgrounds, picnic areas, a pool and several trails. Seniors can take advantage of regular activities including classes, counseling and field trips offered at the Coach George E. Ford Center.

Powder Springs is also convenient to several competitive private schools and many notable colleges and universities are nearby.
Powder Springs has an overwhelming number of beautiful traditional and contemporary style homes to choose from. The area boasts charming homes built in the early 1900s to fabulous new construction with unbelievable upgrades. Prospective homebuyers will love the selection of spacious homes on premium lots.
