Off the east side of Highway 101 is Foster City. It is about half way between San Jose and San Francisco, situated on a variety of lagoons created by the Bay. The city has sparkling lagoons that offer great sailing and windsurfing, and 100 acres of parks and open space entice joggers, strollers, soccer and baseball players and even star gazers.

The city is located just 20 minutes south of San Francisco International Airport, is also near the San Mateo Bridge that leads to Oakland and Berkeley. Napa Valley wineries, San Francisco's financial district, Silicon Valley and even the Pacific Ocean are all in easy driving distance.

Foster City was busy and alive during the dot-com boom of the late 1990's, and after the boom there were a number of residential and commercial vacancies. However, now that the dust has cleared, Foster City is slowly regaining its hey-day status, but at a more gradual and manageable pace. Its convenient location, near Silicon Valley and the City, makes it an ideal location for people who are looking to get the best of both worlds in the Bay Area.
