In addition to being a thriving family-friendly community, Lincoln is also home to a variety of artistic businesses including the prominent Gladding, McBean, the only remaining major manufacturer of ornamental hand-sculptured terra cotta in the U.S. Each year the Lincoln Arts Council hosts 'Feats of Clay', a national ceramics event where artists compete to have their work displayed among the best contemporary ceramic art in the historic Gladding McBean terra cotta factory.
