Leesburg is a picturesque community that is located between two beautiful lakes, Lake Harris and Lake Griffin. Superbly sited, Leesburg is placed approximately 50 miles from the Orlando metropolis that is renowned for its amazing restaurants, shops, and of course, theme parks including Universal Studios, Sea World, and Disney World. Leesburg is approximately one hour and thirty minutes from the beautiful beaches of Daytona. Commuters living in Leesburg have the convenient option of the Lake Express bus that runs throughout the city Monday through Friday. Major highways in Leesburg include U.S. 441 and U.S. 27.
Known for its natural beauty, Leesburg is part of Lake County where there are 1,400 lakes located throughout. Leesburg’s Harris Chain of Lakes includes Lake Harris, Little Lake Harris, Eustis, Dora, and Griffin. Lake Harris is the largest of these lakes and is known for its excellent bass and pan fishing.
