Located 22 miles west of Orlando and 22 miles southeast of Leesburg, this "Gem of the Hills" is conveniently accessible to Orlando via Florida Highway 50 and points north and south via US Highway 27.
Founded in 1884 an incorporated in 1916, the city occupies 14.37 square miles and is currently home to more than 22,000 residents who enjoy the area's natural wonders and thriving downtown commercial center including dozens of restaurants, shops, spas and the ever-popular Downtown Clermont Farmer's Market, which is held every Sunday from 10:00am to 3:00pm on Montrose Street. The Market is presented by the Clermont Downtown Partnership and includes fresh and local produce, plants, flowers, fruit, honey, BBQ, vegetables, herbs, and so much more.
