Lake Worth residents can hop on Loop 820 for quick access to Fort Worth, where its museums, restaurants, stockyard, and shopping attracts millions of visitors every year.
The lake offers anglers plenty of white crappie, largemouth, spotted, and white bass, and catfish, as well as a multitude of city parks, which dot its shoreline. The northwest Tarrant County city of Lake Worth, named for Major General William Jenkins Worth, offers residents all the advantages of small town life. The city is served by the Lake Worth Independent School District.
