There's also a canoe launch located east of U.S. Route 41 on Wadsworth Road where canoeists can spend some leisure time. The village of Wadsworth has a community park with a ball field, tennis and basketball courts, playground equipment, an ice skating pond, a ¾ mile jogging trail, and a sledding hill. Thrill seekers can spend the day with their families at Great America amusement park in Gurnee. There are four elementary school districts and two high school districts that serve the students of Wadsworth. Most of Wadsworth falls within Gurnee Elementary District #56, which has an enrollment of 1,772 students, and Warren Township High School District #121, which has an enrollment of 2,603 students.
