Hot Buttered Rum

1 lb. dark brown sugar
1/2 lb. butter
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground cloves
Dark rum

Hot Butter Rum Batter:
1. Cream butter and sugar.
2. Add in spices and mix thoroughly.
3. Store in refrigerator in covered container until ready to serve.

To serve:
1. Place 1 heaping tablespoon of batter in an Irish coffee mug.
2. Add 1 1/2 oz. rum.
3. Fill with boiling water.
4. Stir and serve.
