Real estate market hints at a bright future for San Diego

A recently published Wall Street Journal article revealed that San Diego home prices are finally beginning to rise and the inventory of homes for sale in San Diego is beginning to diminish. The San Diego Union-Times reported that these are both indicators that the local housing market is now heading in the right direction, with a survey showing 94 percent of market forecasters believe that the market has officially reached its bottom, can go no lower and that San Diego can only see improving markets moving forward.

As the encouraging signs continue to pour in about the housing market, people looking at real estate in San Diego and contemplating a move to this sunny city can start exploring the San Diego neighborhoods with a renewed confidence that now is a good moment to buy, with the market starting to shift and property values on the rise.

One San Diego neighborhood worthy of exploring is Ocean Beach, located only a few miles from the downtown. This small beach community prides itself on being more laid back and "as unpretentious as San Diego beach living gets," according to the neighborhood website. This self-proclaimed "funky beach town" aims to split the difference between the extremes of its upscale or rowdy neighbors, and the community boasts of its "odd collection of antique stores, bars, Deadheads, restaurants, musicians, activists, bikers, artists and feral cats." This unique beach community is just one of the hundreds of areas worthy to explore for San Diego living.
