Number of home sales increases in San Diego County
Besides housing inventory, home prices and other statistics, the one undeniable sign of an improving market is an increased amount of home sales. It can often be concluded that when more people are buying property, consumer confidence levels are high. Homes for sale in San Diego are being snatched up at a record rate, and this is good news for the metro area.
The Poway Patch reported the number of sales in the county increased by 4.5 percent from March to April, and that the April numbers were 9.7 percent higher than a year ago.
"A brighter economic picture, coupled with record-high housing affordability, pushed the spring home-buying season off to a strong start," said housing expert LeFrancis Arnold, according to the news source. "With a continuing improving economy and interest rates declining to new record lows in recent weeks, we should see a steady improvement in the housing market through the end of the year."
If such trends continue, available homes in the region will soon become scarce. Potential homeowners should consider searching the San Diego market as soon as possible to find discount listings before it is too late.
