New residents flocking to Sacramento
Being listed among the top metro areas in the United States is no small feat, and recently Sacramento has broken into this elite list in one particular area. Over fifty people move to the city on a daily basis, and many of them are purchasing one of the homes for sale in Sacramento. This may be due to a variety of reasons, including new community improvements.
The Sacramento Business Journal reported that an average of 59.32 people moved to the metro area every day between July 1, 2010 and July 1, 2011. This yearly number makes Sacramento the 26th fastest growing city in the country out of the 366 areas surveyed.
New traffic lights
What can citizens enjoy in Sacramento that is not found easily in other metros? One example is new traffic light cameras designed to deter automobile crime and motor vehicle accidents. KCRA reported that integrated cameras would photograph drivers and license plates, and tickets would be issued in the mail. Since the induction of the program, there has been a 76 percent decrease in red-light collisions at these intersections.
As more people move to the area, the housing inventory will fall as valuable homes are purchased. Consider searching the MLS listings in Sacramento today to find a great new house.
