Get your green thumb on by volunteering at Natomas Rose Garden
If you've developed a love for gardening in your spare time, you probably want to keep up with this hobby after moving to one of the homes for sale in Natomas, CA. To examine a great opportunity for doing just that, check out the Natomas Rose Garden, located at the South Natomas Community Center at 2921 Truxel Road, adjacent to the South Natomas Library.
This rose sanctuary opened in May of 2008 and has been a prominent part of the Natomas community ever since. It is a fairly small facility, covering just 0.4 acres, but the beauty of the 500 roses planted around the edges of the circular garden's paths more than makes up for its slight size.
A group of dedicated volunteers works here to plant, prune, weed, clean up the walkways and help manage workshops and fundraising efforts. If you want to take part, sign up by sending a simple email to the garden's management.
If you don't have the time to volunteer but you manage to squeeze in a visit and become enchanted by the location, you can rent it as a venue for your next community event. Rental information is readily available online.
