Wake Tech Community College serves more than 64,000 students in the Triangle with five campuses and two training centers. It is the second-largest community college in North Carolina and provides both classroom-based and online learning. Wake Tech provides many career options for students to pursue as it offers 180 associate degrees, diplomas and certificates.

Another great area school is Durham Technical Community College. Serving the area for more than 50 years, it has been a springboard toward a bright future for countless Triangle students. Durham Tech offers university transfer programs that allow students to complete up to two years of coursework for a bachelor's degree, as well as many career and technical initiatives.
