Locate a mosque in the Portland area
After purchasing one of the houses for sale in Portland, you may want to check out the local Islamic community centers for worship services. Whether you are in the process of converting, an avid practitioner or curious about Islam, these organizations may be able to help you.
The Muslim Community Center, located at 3801 Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, is just a few minutes off of Route 5, near Irving Park. Classes are available in Arabic reading and writing, and on the Quran on Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Jum’ah prayers are every Friday at 1 p.m. in the spring and summer, and at 12:30 p.m. during the fall and winter. A local chapter of the Ahmadiyya Movement in Islam is located at 9925 Southwest 35th Drive, right off of Route 5 near the West Portland Park. Services are held at the Portland Rizwan Mosque in Southwest Portland, and everyone is welcome to participate or learn about the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in order to promote tolerance and understanding.
