Mayor kicks off Arizona Homebuyers Expo

Phoenix’s agencies are getting involved in the housing situation. Phoenix’s Neighborhood Stabilization Program participated in the first Arizona Homebuyers Expo to encourage home ownership. Residents were invited to explore homeownership as a potential housing option at the Phoenix Convention Center for free on April 28, 2012. Attendees were able to learn how to look up properties on the MLS listings in Phoenix, get up to $15,000 in grants and discover tips on how to purchase new homes in the area.

"Homeownership opportunities strengthen families, stabilize communities, encourage savings and improve our economy," said Vice Mayor of Phoenix Michael Johnson. "I encourage residents to attend if they’re interested in owning a home. Our city and other organizations are assisting hardworking individuals and families to make the dream of owning their home a reality."

When looking to purchase one of the houses for sale in Phoenix, consider attending educational expos and seminars to get advice from the experts. Knowledge is a powerful tool, and when combined with informative advice you may be able to achieve the goal of owning your own home.
