Where were OC homes most affordable in June?

Moving to Orange County doesn't mean that you have to spend a fortune on a beautiful home. There is a variety of homes for sale in Orange County that are priced at or below the Southern California average. According to the latest statistics from DataQuick, the median home price in this part of the state rose to $300,000 in June 2012, thereby making some OC areas more affordable than the average house in the region.

Anaheim is one Orange County city where you should be able to find a home for under $300,000. According to DataQuick's June 2012 statistics, the following Anaheim ZIP codes were all below the Southern California average: 92801 ($290,000), 92805 ($264,000) and 92802 ($295,000). These numbers point toward Anaheim as being one of the most affordable places to live in the county. 

The Garden Grove ZIP code - 92844 - also had one of the lower home sale medians at $292,000 - a 11.5 percent decrease from June 2011. Home prices also fell in La Habra, as the median price of $255,750 was 23.3 percent lower than last year. Orange, Santa Ana and Stanton also had homes with median prices below $300,000.
