Where are the best OC cities to live in?

Sometimes the most difficult part of relocating to Orange County is trying to decide which city to settle down in, after all, they are all so beautiful and each one offers something unique. The good news is, buying any real estate in Orange County is a great idea as home sales have recently soared in 67 of the 83 OC ZIP codes and are expected to stay strong.

If you're having trouble deciding which city you want to purchase property in, consider consulting the annual "Best of Orange County Winners" list by The Orange County Register. The publication's 2011 best places to live list placed Irvine at the top, followed by Huntington Beach and then Mission Viejo.

According to the latest report from DataQuick, the median home price in Mission Viejo was $497,000, making the area an affordable option compared to many of the surrounding communities in Orange County. The OC Register says it's also popular for its family-friendly neighborhoods and good shopping.

The median home price in Huntington Beach was slightly less expensive at $490,000 and the eight miles of sandy beaches means there's always something to do if this is your next home. Finally, Irvine had a median price of $557,000. The city is cited as being one of America's safest cities and boasts some of the best public schools not only in Orange County, but in the country.
