Take advantage of quality food in Orange County
While finding the right home depends largely on the housing market in a region, there are plenty of other considerations a potential homebuyer takes into account before making an offer on a property. If a person is a bona fide foodie, living in a community with access to quality restaurants and respected chefs could be a key feature he or she is looking for. Real estate in Orange County could offer those who enjoy exploring cuisine easy access to fine dining.
According to the United States Department of Labor, 184,300 people work in the leisure and hospitality industries in the Santa Ana-Anaheim-Irvine region. Employment figures for these industries are up 5.2 percent in a year-over-year comparison. The increasing number of workers in these job opportunities could mean that new restaurants are opening up or expanding in the area.
Here are two new restaurants coming to the Orange County area:
1. Fuoco Pizzeria Napoletana. Located on 101 North Harbor Boulevard in Fullerton, this pizzeria is set to open soon. However, while the business' doors may still be closed, it is generating significant buzz. Fuoco Pizzeria Napoletana has 370 likes on Facebook as on October 18, 2012 and 41 people have tagged the business in a discussion.
This isn't your average pizza place. The business imports all of the ingredients used in its pies from Italy, and even the oven is special.
"Our oven was built by hand in Naples, Italy and is fueled only by wood. There is no gas involved whatsoever. It burns very close to 1000 degrees and will cook personal sized pizzas in less than 90 seconds," operator Tullio Ceccarelli told The Orange County Register.
2. Smoqued BBQ. If you're a fan of savory meats you may want to head down to 128 North Glassell Street in Orange. The restaurant opened in September 2012 and offers full-service dining and a variety of craft beers and smoked meats, The Orange County Register reports. Smoqued BBQ already had 1,355 likes on Facebook by October 18, 2012 and 609 people have used the social networking site to check in to the location. Specialty meal and drink offers are announced on the business' Facebook page for those locals who want up-to-date information.
