Sports teams in Music City USA

Nashville is sometimes called "Music City USA" due to the presence of the Country Music Hall of Fame and major record labels in the city, but many people forget there is a large sports fan base in the metro area as well. Two professional teams play within the city limits, and attract enough spectators to regularly sell out stadiums. If you are looking at some of the homes for sale in Nashville and are a fan of professional sports, look no further than the National Football League and National Hockey League.

Nashville Predators

The Nashville Predators joined the NHL as an expansion team in 1998 and have not looked back since. The team is currently rising in stock, as they have made the playoffs two years in a row and won each of their opening series. After securing several star players to long-term contracts, the team has solidified itself as a title contender. After moving to Nashville, pick up your white and gold jersey and head to the Bridgestone Arena.

Tennessee Titans

The Titans last went to the Superbowl in 1999, where they were defeated by St. Louis Rams in a heartbreaker. Recently, the team has failed to impress in the same way as the Predators, but they did win the AFC South in 2008. With Matt Hasselbeck and Chris Johnson at the helm of the offense, this team could make huge strides in the 2012-2013 NFL season.
