Will the Houston housing market heat up this summer?
Property sales have been steadily increasing in Houston, and this trend might continue throughout the summer. In fact, the decreasing inventory of homes for sale in Houston may make now the best time for sellers to put their home on the market.
Recent industry data showed homebuyers purchased houses in the city last month at some of the highest rates in years, according to Houston Community Newspapers. This represents the 12th consecutive month of sales gains in the area. While the local economy has shown improvement, this trend might be indicative of property buyers' rising interest in homes priced above $250,000.
"Both buyers and sellers are reaping the benefits of an extremely healthy and robust real estate climate in Houston," local real estate expert Wayne Stroman told the news source.
Summer is often considered an ideal time for families to relocate. Earnest Parenting notes that relocating after the school year ends might help make the transition easier for kids and offer the benefit of moving in pleasant weather.
Homesellers should consider taking advantage of the rising interest in the houses for sale in this metro.
