Go for a hike in Katy, Texas
If you moved into Katy, TX real estate, and have an outdoorsy spirit, you may want to take a hike on one of the nature trails in the area. There are two popular places people in Katy visit to take in the fresh air, but you'll need have a car to get to both destinations.
The Anthills at Terry Hershey Park Hiking Trail features several walking and biking trails that people from all over the Houston area trek to on a nice day. In order to get to the park from Katy, you'll want to take I-10 East, taking the exit toward Eldridge Parkway and merging onto I-10. After exiting the highway, and driving a few miles down the road, you'll arrive at a large park where you can hike on any number of trails or enjoy the separate biking paths.
Another destination to try is the Memorial Park Hiking Trail, but it is a bit further away from Katy. The entire trek takes approximately 31 minutes if you head east on I-10. When on the interstate, drive until you reach exit 763 and merge onto I-610 S. After you driven a mile on I-610 S, exited at 10A and merged onto North Post Oak Road, you'll drive a few miles down the street and reach a sprawling park. At the Memorial Park Hiking Trail, you can spend the afternoon walking through Texan back country, taking in the fresh air and resting awhile on the provided park benches.
