Miller Outdoor Theatre
Located in the middle of Hermann Park at 6000 Hermann Park Drive, this open-air theater is a one-of-a-kind venue. A large number of local theater groups and artists have performed at the establishment, such as HITS Theater, Houston Grand Opera and Festival Chicano.
Founded in 1947 by educator Nina Vance, the Alley Theatre is located at 615 Texas Avenue. The space has nine towers and many open air terraces to give it a faintly medieval flair. There is also a spiral staircase and entrance vestibule for a classic charm. In addition, two stages are on the premises – the Hubbard Stage and the Neuhaus Area Stage. This theater often houses both classic and modern plays, to the delight of many locals.
