The Power of Pinterest

First there was MySpace, then there was Facebook, and now there is Pinterest. Who would have ever imagined that the way we communicate and socialize would have evolved as much as it has in recent years? While many of us (myself included) were still trying to learn the ins and outs of Facebook, along came Pinterest.

While I love Facebook for being able chat with friends and clients or share ideas, Pinterest is quickly becoming an obsession. It’s a great way to share ideas, pictures, articles, you name it! Users create boards dedicated to gorgeous homes, recipes they want to try, inspirational quotes, and anything else you can think of. Explore an idea or thought by searching for something on Pinterest, and who knows who you will connect with! Many times, others find your information or images helpful or inspiring, and “re-pin” it to their own Pinterest boards.

I heard about Pinterest a while ago from some of my friends who are teachers. So I decided to check it out. It can be very overwhelming at first with all the different boards people have and the many “pins” that they have on each board. It was so overwhelming at first that I signed off and didn’t really give it much thought. Then one night, I decided to give it another try.

Now, it’s safe to say, that I am addicted to Pinterest. I pin all kinds of things that I like: cupcake ideas, decorating ideas for the home, and real estate articles I find useful as a Realtor. It’s a great way to share and learn new ideas as well as express who you are and what you love. Give it a try - you may find yourself addicted to pinning, too!
